Carl is the Deputy Chairman responsibile for campaigning and political activities organised by the Association. His responsibilities include supporting the work of our local councillors in both Lambeth and Southwark. This has recently focused on the successful campaign to reelect Boris Johnson as Mayor of London on 3rd May, and saw the Conservative GLA candidate achieve second place for the first time.
Originally from Essex, Carl moved to Lambeth in 2004 and now lives in West Dulwich. In 2010 he stood as a council candidate for Gipsy Hill ward where he led campaigns for more primary school places in Norwood and against Lambeth Council's decision to keep dusctcarts in local residential streets. As a Norwood Forum committee member from 2009 to 2011, he organised a series of public meetings on Norwood Park and the future of Nettlefold Hall that enabled residents to hold Lambeth Council to account on local issues.
