Don’t forget to recycle your Christmas tree

As the Twelfth Night after Christmas has passed, there is a timely reminder that Lambeth residents can recycle Christmas trees next week (11th – 15th January 2009) on your normal refuse and recycling collection day.

Residents who have a real Christmas tree and live in a property with ‘kerbside’ collections can leave it next to their refuse bin and the council will collect and recycle it.  The tree should be left at the front of the property before 6.00am on the day of collection, and all decorations should be removed.

People living in a Lambeth Living property can simply leave the tree next to the estate recycling bank in the same way.

Alternatively, if you don’t want to wait until next week for the regular collections, you can recycle your Christmas tree by taking them to the Lambeth Reuse and Recycling Centre on Vale Street SE27.  CLICK HERE for a map.
