After over a year of lobbying, Conservative councillors have secured regeneration funding from Southwark Council for Norwood Road and Half Moon Lane.

The funding, which is worth up to £670,000, is from
a programme for improving local shopping areas.

The programme will work with local retailers and residents on a range of  improvements, such as making the shopping parades safer, cleaner, and better looking places.

”We want to build on the improvements already made to Norwood Road – such as the new trees, hanging baskets, and better parking controls” says Kemi. “Conservative councillors like Robin Crookshank Hilton are leading the way in making sure that all of Herne Hill shopping area benefits from any improvements that will come from the re-modelling of the junction“.
