Safer Crossing Campaign
Kim, Michelle and Lewis, along with Conservative Parliamentary Candidate Kemi Adegoke have launched a campaign to introduce better safety measures at the traffic junction with Lordship Lane and Dulwich Common.
This junction is notorious for speeding down Sydenham Hill, car “shunts” on the junction and poor phasing of the traffic lights which makes it extremely unsafe for pedestrians to cross the road.
Kim, Michelle and Lewis secured funds to carry out a safety audit which has made a number of recommendations, top of the list being the need to introduce pedestrian “phasing” of the lights to stop all traffic when pedestrians wish to cross the road. We will now be lobbying Transport for London to introduce this as they have responsibility for the roads.
