Many local residents living in Peckarmans Wood, Crescent Wood Road and Great Brownings regularly use Low Cross Wood Lane to get and from Sydenham Hill train station.

Earlier this year a spate of serious crime, including mugging and assault has taken place on the Lane. The local Police have arrested a number of individuals in connection with recent attacks, however many local residents are rightly concerned about safety on the Lane, and they have our full support. Your local councillors have been working with the Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator and Police to introduce a serious of permanent measures to make the Lane more safe. Michelle, Kim and Lewis are already lobbying the Council for new and better lighting.

We organised a well attended public meeting on the evening of Wednesday 17th December, 7pm at Kingswood House for local residents to hear what action we and the police have already taken, proposals to further improve safety and listen to residents views.
