The College Ward Safer Neighbourhood Police Team is applying for planning permission to turn one of the shop units on the Kingswood Estate shopping parade into a base from which their patrols can operate. Previously our Police Team has had to operate out of the East Dulwich Police Station, which is remote from many parts of the ward.

Lewis said; “I strongly support this application by the police as not only does it mean a permanent base for patrols based in the ward, but it will also contribute to the regeneration of the local shopping parade, meaning we can provide a range of community services from Kingswood Estate. This is in stark contrast to our MP whose Government has been responsible for stripping out nine post offices from the Dulwich & West Norwood constituency since 1997.”
